Yes**, if you delete a card, *all the users who had that card* and had not used it yet, will lose it.
We give you a number of alternatives when it comes to getting rid of a card, which can be very interesting for the user and the collection in general:
Transform the card. You can edit the card and transform it into a completely different card by changing the values you want. In this way, users will find that they have a new card, even if they no longer have the previous one. In this way, users keep the card. It requires that the final card be similar to the original, neither much better nor much worse. If it was a common animation, maybe put another animation to keep the essence. This should be complemented by keeping them informed at all times of the changes, so that they are not confused and know that it has happened, their card has been transformed!
Temporarily hide the card. You can hide these cards temporarily, even hide the collection and after a while publish them again. If you do not repeat cards between collections, it is an interesting way to give cards and collections exclusivity, because they are available temporarily (collection rotation) and this makes users more interested when they are available. They will also keep the cards when you re-release them, and as long as you keep them informed, they will not be left with the feeling of having lost cards and/or money.
Use the "Pause collection" and its notice to notify users**.In this case, you can use a tool on the platform, although it requires a little more work on your part, to inform users who occasionally visit your page when you are not online. This tool is the Pause collection, which can be activated from the Manage collections section. With this tool, users will not be able to redeem cards while the collection is paused and they will also see a message with the reason. You can take advantage of this message to warn about upcoming changes in your collection. This requires that every time you start stream you re-activate the collection.
Use the functionality Cards not appearing in the chests - click for +info **.In this way, you will prevent that card from coming out in the chests, and if for a while you remind in each stream that this card is going to be eliminated, to use it or to disenchant it, people will use it and there will be less and less of it left. people will use it and there will be less and less. Most users will be warned in this case making the removal less prone to complaints about not being warned or not being able to use the card.
To avoid providing a bad experience for your users, we advise you to keep users informed frequently and well in advance about the changes you have in mind for the different collections. This way they can act accordingly, as not every user enters your stream every day or reads your social networks at that time.
A good practice could be to define a fixed time slot in the stream per week or per month to inform about changes in the collections. Take advantage of this to get feedback from users on how they would improve the cards and what they think of the changes you have in mind. Get your community to contribute and participate in defining your cards, because if you listen to your community and adapt your collections, it will be noticed in daily use.
